Medical transportation services matched to how the patient moves

The first question we ask on every call is simple: how does the patient get around? The answer decides the vehicle, the equipment and the number of people on the team. A patient who stays in a chair needs a lift.

A patient who must lie down needs a gurney and two attendants. A patient who walks may only need a steady arm. MedBridge provides all of these as non-emergency medical transportation, and every trip is booked directly with no referral.

These are the NEMT services Southern California patients and care teams ask for most. Each one has its own page with more detail, and you can call (818) 788-0322 if you are not sure which fits.

Services built around treatment and facilities

Some trips repeat every week, and others involve a hospital waiting on a bed. For those, we offer dialysis transportation, including chemotherapy and infusion visits, with standing schedules timed to your chair time.

For hospitals, nursing facilities and rehab centers, we provide facility transportation for transfers and discharges, and a facility partner program with a direct dispatch line and priority scheduling.

What every ride includes

Whatever the service, the basics stay the same. Vehicles are ADA-compliant. Drivers are background-checked, CPR and First Aid certified and trained in patient assistance.

Dispatch confirms the vehicle, the pickup window and the return trip before the ride. Our parent company, MedBridge Transport, holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and MedBridge is licensed and insured.

Ready when you are.Dispatch answers 24 hours a day. Most rides are confirmed in a few minutes.

How to choose between services

If you are comparing options, start with the patient's comfort and safety. A wheelchair van is more affordable than a gurney and works for anyone who can sit upright in a chair. Ambulatory rides are usually the most affordable and suit patients who walk with or without a cane.

Gurney service is for patients who cannot sit. Long-distance trips can use any of these vehicles, depending on the patient. If the patient's condition changes, we can change the service on later trips.

Our non-emergency medical transportation services are built to be flexible. Families often start with one ride and end up with a standing weekly schedule. Facilities often begin with a single transfer and move to a full partnership. We are happy to start small.

Where we work

As a medical transport service Los Angeles families and facilities can book directly, we also serve Orange County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County.

Each county page lists the cities we cover. Call dispatch if your address is not listed, since we often serve areas that are not named.

Pricing and booking

Pricing depends on the vehicle, the distance, a round trip and any waiting time. Call for a quote or request one through the contact page.

We recommend 24 to 48 hours of notice for wheelchair and gurney rides, and we do our best with same-day requests when capacity allows.

Choose the service that fits the patient

Every ride is matched to the patient's mobility needs. No one-size-fits-all vans, no rushed drivers.
